Gujarat Floods News Live Updates: Gujarat rainfall has claimed more than 35 lives in the past three days since August 26. The continued rainfall has led to a flood-like situation in Dwarka and Vadodara. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel over the phone about the situation and relief measures. The Indian Army has also deployed six columns for the relief work at the request of the Gujarat government. As of now, 17,800 people have been evacuated.

Indian Air Force has conducted rescue operations in the flood-affected Kalyanpur tehsil in Dwarka. As per Gujarat Health Minister  Rushikesh Patel, over 5,000 people have been moved to new locations and more than 12,000 were rescued till August 28 in Vadodara. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a red alert for the state, which is facing heavy rain due to a deep depression moving from East Rajasthan towards the Saurashtra region.

Gujarat Rain Live Updates: Flood like situation persists, despite low rainfall

The Gujarat rainfall situation improved slightly on Thursday as the rainfall rainfall activity slightly reduced, but vadodara and some other parts of Gujarat are under a flood-like situation because of overflowing rivers. Authorities continue to conduct rescue and relief operations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to state Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel for the second consecutive day and enquired about the situation. He also asked the CM to take proper steps to prevent the spread of diseases after floods.

Gujarat Rain Live Updates: Road closed in Jamnagar

The connecting road between Padana Patiya and Changa Patiya in Jamnagar has been closed. A part of a small bridge over Sir P.N. road washed away because of flooding, which has also affected traffic movement.
