After launching its flagship, the new GS 1300, BMW is gearing up to launch its middleweight adventure, the F900 GS, in India. The company has teased the motorcycle, hinting at its timeline. When launched in India, the new F900 GS will compete head-on with the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro.
Both are no doubt very capable motorcycles in the right hands, and they approach the same goal, but with different styles. So here’s a detailed specifications comparison between the BMW F900 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro.
New BMW F900 GS vs Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro: Design and dimension
The upcoming BMW F900 GS has seen a lot of revision compared to the 850 it replaces. BMW has worked on the ergonomics of the motorcycle by bringing the handlebar closer to the rider, moving the pegs a little lower, and most importantly, shedding weight.
This has happened in the form of removing the front beak and on other parts of the motorcycle. Overall, the motorcycle follows the 1300’s design take of being sleeker and more off-road focused.
Coming to the Tiger 900. The motorcycle sports a familiar design and there were small tweaks to the styling to give it an update. The Tiger 900 Rally Pro looks bulkier with the tall front beak and the side-slung exhaust, but it is a narrow motorcycle between the legs.
New BMW F900 GS vs Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro: Equipment and features
In terms of hardware, both motorcycles get USD forks at the front, a monoshock at the rear, fully adjustable suspension, spoke wheels, an upright riding position, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS that can be switched off, traction control, TFT dash, ride modes, and more. Both are well-equipped to take any terrain, but they do have a few differences.
