It is very well known by now that Hero MotoCorp will be launching a new scooter very soon and it is most likely to be an updated Destini 125. Ahead of its launch on 7 September 2024, The largest two-wheeler brand has started teasing the upcoming scooter on its social media handles.
The latest teaser shares glimpses of the updated Destini which appears to receive significant changes over the current model. Earlier, Hero filed patents for the new scooter which indicated several styling changes and the latest teaser video testifies the same.
2024 Hero Destini 125: What to expect?
For starters, the front end appears to be completely revamped with redesigned LED position lamps which double up turn indicators and encased with golden-coloured trims. Further, the headlamp is all-LED now with completely different bi-projector lamps. The revised headlamp cluster gets a new H-shaped LED DRL common to all recent Hero models.
Previous leaked images have suggested completely new body panels, new alloy wheels, all-black front forks, a redesigned exhaust cover plate, and dual-tone side mirrors. Additionally, the seat design has been modified, and the rear LED tail lamps are entirely new. The patent image had revealed a new backrest for the pillion.
The upcoming Destini 125 is expected to be the latest addition to Hero’s Xtec range. Hence, we expect it to receive several new features. The most prominent of those is a fully-digital instrument console which gets Bluetooth connectivity with calls and text alerts. Hero may also equip the new Destini with turn-by-turn navigation via the designated smartphone app. Hero will continue to offer the i3S start/stop system with the new Destini.
2024 Hero Destini 125: Expected specs
We don’t expect any significant changes to the mechanical specs of the new Desitini 125 apart from the addition of a rear disc brake with ByBre callipers as shown in the teaser. Powering the Destini 125 will be a 124.6 cc engine with an output of 9 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque. This unit is linked with a CVT automatic. It will retain the front telescopic forks and a mono-shock at the rear.
